The Come Up Pt. 15 (Gangsta Grillz Edition)
Because The Come Up's creator Fendi says he lets the artists talk for him, and he won't sit down with MixUnit.com to rap with us about his newest DVDs anymore, he got us on the phone with someone we know pretty well over here: Mr. Gangsta Grillz.
You thought The Come Up DVD was doing it real big with his last few DVDs: 1. 'The Carter' edition, a Jay-Z and Lil' Wayne-catered DVD featuring hip-hop two favorite unrelated Carters; 2. the 4-cover Rockstar Edition featuring Juelz, Weezy, Cam'ron & 50 Cent and hip-hop's biggest rockstars; and 3. The Come Up #14, a major step in the DVD game bringing you nothing but Jadakiss footage and videos on this special 1-artist DVD. But Fendi is back better than ever, and him and DJ Drama sat down with MixUnit to let us know what it was all about.
With Drama telling Fendi it was time to get back into the streets, DJ Drama told MixUnit.com why he wanted to do this special Gangsta Grillz Edition Come Up DVD: "I'm 100% with it. It's not just audio. I do that. This is a visual." He added, "It's time to get that info out. I'm about what's quality in the street...I'm about to go on a run next year. Call me Barack O'Drama."
O'Drama and Fendi have known each other for a minute, and in the natural collision of Real Recognize Real, they've now hooked up a number of years later to officially collaborate on what is guaranteed to be the hottest DVD in the streets this summer. You've collected Gangsta Grillz mixtape after classic Gangsta Grillz mixtape, but now it's time to grab the official Gangsta Grillz/The Come Up DVD. With DJ Drama on one side and 'Gangsta Grillz' icon and South's King of the Streets, Lil' Boosie, on the other, this DVD is a certified classic.
CHAPTER DESCRIPTIONS
- Mr. Gangsta Grillz aka. Mr. Thanksgiving aka. the new aka. 'MR. BARACK O'BAMA' is on his campaign game and he's bringing his well-renowned mixtape hustle to the DVD game. Back after the arrest, back after the charges, and back after the Drama, the streets' mixtape king gets down with the streets' DVD king and lets you know EVERYTHING you want to know. The Come Up doesn't do any weak interviews, so if you think you've seen this interview before, think again!!
- With the Louisiana kid Boosie the new King of the South (sorry Tip), there's no better platform for him to introduce himself to the DVD game and the DVD fans than the 'Gangsta Grillz Edition' Come Up. The baddest azz rapper in the South is tearing up the South at a nasty clip, but this Trill Ent. family member has a little extra something on this DVD. With a live performance followed by an exclusive interview, THE COME UP gets down with Boosie real bad on this joint.
- Outside of Boosie, a lot of people be feeling T.I., Jeezy, Luda or Wayne as their favorite Southern rapper. But for real for real, climbing those ranks is ATL's newest trap star, Gucci Mane. With his hit "Geek'd Up" ripping up Bankhead like the early Snowman days, Gucci Man is next in the South and he's representing big on this COME UP. Recently signed to a $2 million deal by Asylum/Atlantic, Gucci Mane is in the on-deck circle and THE COME UP has it all for you.
- A lontime Come Up supporter, Beanie Sigel is back on camera and he's pretty serious about Jay and the fam. Talking about how Hov hired him as the hitman of the ROC, he's been hearing a lot of sh*t being said about Roc-A-Fella and he ain't really feeling it. A COME UP exclusive.
- Styles P beefin' with Hell Rell? Apparently Styles took exception to Rell using his "Hardest Out" moniker and there was some beef simmering but both artists get on the camera (separately) and speak their piece. Rell explains why he used it and all that...
- Juelz Santana checked in with all them diamonds in his hard-top Louis box back on THE COME UP #13: ROCKSTAR EDITION, but Juelz has been taking it to an excess lately apparently, because he just returned from the UK where he says he ponied up a cool $3 mill for those import goods. Human Crack speaks on his purchases in this DVD...
- Nicki Manaj & Lil' Wayne together? Well, looks like Weezy's actually been back on Trina's good side lately, but Lil' Wayne is getting ready to finalize the deal with the talented New York vixen and the two will tell you all about their deal. In an exclusive phone conversation, Nicki and Wayne talk about the deal and making Young Money and Dirty Money a beautiful collaboration.
ALSO FEATURING: Papoose's latest beef, Jadakiss returns for another exclusive video off his upcoming album 'Kiss My Ass,' Young Buck reps that Cashville connect, Remy Ma is free from the Squad so she's definitely got something to say...AND MUCH MORE.
