this dude got a hot and raw flow. it's definitely worth downloading. he's bringing the west back not e-40 and def not game. good mixtape. has great production and lyrics. could honestly be an album. if you like this one you should download chapter 1: the rise and it's good to know he ain't on bws anymore. if he was he woulda never come out. game made a terrible decision letting this guy go

i'm from LA and i know it doesn't mean i'm the authority on west coast rap but he didn't bring it back. we barely hear his stuff out here. his stuff gets played as much as anyone from LA with a mic. one artist who copies styles isn't going to bring the west back. how is he going to make the west compete with other regions. when the west was hot it was cube, wc, eazy, dre, & snoop. game doesn't even compare. he can't even bring the artists on his label out (most are from the west). i think ya boy can do it cause he's humble and respects other artists in the game. and i really think his time to shine is when the current west coast artists step up and make better music. and actually unify (like the south). then he and other new/kinda new west coast artists can bring it back for real.

Game can't run a label or crew

My understanding is that Cyssero, Techniec, Ya Boy, etc all left BWS not that Game let them go because they were sick and tired of not getting released or record deals signed. I'm guessing Game created BWS more so that he could have a posse against G-Unit than because he had the intention or knowledge of actually making these guys successful artists. I'm NOT saying he sabotaged them or anything, but I doubt he has the know-how to develop artists from scratch into money-makers. The BWS before all of its people left was really good shit. Game needs to disband them before anyone else leaves, OR get his act together and really learn how to run a label/crew from people who know how to do it. Also, he needs to stop name-dropping 5000x in every god damn song, but that's a whole 'nother discussion. I liked this Ya Boy mixtape except for the fact that it had too many south beats on it. I hate that song Bey Bey Bey and I listen to quality lyricists like Ya Boy, Saigon, and Papoose because I can't stand that dumbed-down shit that passes for southern rap, so to hear Ya Boy doing the same song was a disappointment. But this mixtape is probably better than 90% of what gets posted so I should probably stop bitching.
