If you want to start a debate then at least get yo fact right - the poll was called: MTV's: HOTTEST MCs In The Game The greatest and the hottest are two different thingz... we all know that to an organisation like MTV and the sell-out 'experts' they employ the word 'hot' means commerical hype i.e. what rappers feature on R&B tracks. it ain't nothing new - the MVT 'brain trust' aka a bunch of MTV suits that front by wearing some baggy jeans and a baseball cap, have been doing this bullshit for a while now. they guilty of rating Salt N Pepa in the top 10 groups of alltime and even have the nerve to claim that Tupac was better than Biggie, KRS and Rakim. THEY KNOW NOTHING with the only exception being Rahman Dukes. The mixtape fiends know emcees like Ransom, Papoose, Saigon, Joel Ortiz, Big Lou, Hell Rell, Uncle Murder, Wicked, Skyzoo, Terminology, J-Hood ect are the truth so why do we need to take MTV seriously anyways? 'Hot' should mean: good mixtape WORKRATE that leads to a solid album so I would say that Lil Wayne DOES deserve a spot. the talent and workrate he has show this year easily outweigh his rare corny moments. MAYBE Game. plus Common's new joint is nyce. as for the rest of the list I agree - it's a joke. It seems the idiots picking it got confused between G.O.A.T and 'hottest'. I wouldn't feature either but Jay-Z over NaS? - didn't that one get settled with Ether?!? As for Jeezy, I don't see what's so special - Lil Wayne makes him sound ordinary. Kayne West is the fakest emcee out there right now - his lack of skills is blatant. 50 Cent?!? Didn't he get his ass kicked all over the 'candy shop' this year? T.I.? No. Jim Jones - mmmm.... he has been 'hot' by MTV's definition I guess.... and as for Andre 3000 - I prefer rappers who don't walk round with a bitches haircut and dress/dance like a circus clown.

In this category for this year i'd def include Evidence who in my opinion had the best West Coast album of the year, Marco Polo's(not rapper but still does it) who delivered a street classic underground album, Saigon, St laz who's doing good sales stayin true to his morals and independent delivering undererground classics, papoose and saigon the two highly unticipated mixtape kings. Jada for anotha year full of dope mixtapes + the unticipated album. And maybe i'd keep Game, and T.I for all their albums' hype that managed to live it through.. Even if i dont like wayne i recognize the hype so i'd mention him but def not top 1! As for as MTV, I CHARGE'EM GUILTY FOR ABUSING THEIR FAME, POWER AND INFLUENCE (to people)! I charge'em guilty for not showin people the true rap talents, for not promoting the rappers that truely deserve it and that been doing it for years.. rappers like Tragedy Khadafi, Masta Ace, Cormega, Jedi Mind, Hell Razah, Boot Camp, Sean Price, St Laz, Ali Vegas, Talib Kweli, Jada and Ghost,Big Noyd, Silent Knight,KRS,Rakim, Blaq Poet, Nature, Brand Nubian and so many others...
