Rap music and music in general is about longevity. It's sad to say, but these days an artist is only as good as his last album. Nas's next album will be his 9th studio album, not including The Lost Tapes, The Firm, etc. How many artists out there including rappers can say that they have 9 studio albums? Not too many. Nas is a brother with a message. He's not out there rappin on R&B tracks, tryin to be on the radio every day, or trying to do guests appearances on everyone's album. He's bringing you a message whether you like or not cuz this brother has something to say. Big up to Nas - a real MC!!!!!

Nas doesn´t rappin on R&B tracks?!?!? He doesn´t try to be on the radio every day? Cmon where have you been a few years ago??? I have many R&B tracks with Nas on it for example Amerie or Jagged Edge and so on... The thing with the guest apperience is the R&B artist choose the rapper and Nas´s time was a few years ago. I liked him so much back in da days when he droped "It was written" "The Firm" "I AM" but his shit started to disapoint me more and more. Stillmatic was good but not my thing and there where much better artists at this time. After this every album get badder. And don´t understand me wrong Nas is a good rapper but he reps without the beat and the producer put the vocals to the beat?!? That´s stupid and unmusical!! I was always wondering why he sounds so monotonous. And yeah he´s bringing a message but I can´´t relate to his negro message. And in my opinion good sound is more important as the massege or mc skills.
