Bootlegging vs. Mixtapes

DJ Bedz Mission Statement: I always have, and always will, make Mix CDs with “old” music on them. I believe in the art form of turntablism, and when you actually take the time to mix your songs together, scratch, blend, produce, and include creative measures in the creation process it simply takes longer. In 2007, mixtapes have become the modern day bootlegging, which is tragic. Talentless computer DJs take a bunch of new music and throw it together separated by gunshots and yelling, and pass themselves off as DJs. While it’s a great source for hearing new music, you can’t overlook the fact that 90% of the mixtapes on the market are made by DJs with zero ability/skill whatsoever. So in conclusion, you are more than welcome to clown me for not having the newest track listings, but you really should be spending your time clowning these other “DJs” who can’t actually mix two fucking records together! Peace and love!!!

haha

i'm the same way. i wasn't gonna download shit. but after having to sift thru some of these shitty mixtapes, with shitty sound quality and 60 second shout outs, and reading your response, i'm gonna give it a shot. if it rules, i'll look for your shit.

I can't begin to tell you

I can't begin to tell you how much i hate the interludes and the intros and the outros and the first minute of every song on some of these mixtapes. i dont wanna fucking hear these no-name lazy ass dj give shoutouts to their friends, especially when they play their shoutouts over a rapper. like DAMN I WISH I COULD LISTEN TO HIM SPIT BUT I GUESS I'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT TILL THIS DJ STOPS TALKING!

Pay for the condoms N let the pussy just come free

Agreed

I agree wit DJ Bedz, but I gotta admit, if it wasn't for his comment I wouldnt even have downloaded this mixtape. He's right though becuase after listening to this tape, compared to others, this is better quality. I mean even if some of the songs are old, from start to finish this mixtape is bangin. Respect to you DJ Bedz and for being true and staying real.

Much respect to dj beds...

but the point is there are still old songs on the mixtape. Put together a mixtape with newer songs and it go so much harder. If the songs are played out what makes the mixtape crunk?
