Nah 'Russel', Plies is from SW Florida, Ft. Myers to be exact. His most notable recent song is, "Shawty" with T-Pain. Whereas, T-Pain is from my hometown Tallahasse, Florida which is NW Florida. I've actually been waiting for a mixtape of just Plies. Personally, I don't think he's that bad. Better than a lot of southern rappers. Good style, definitely worth a listen.

Plies sux if you knew he has had plenty of solo mixtapes but all the songs combined wouldnt make 1 good mix if you want good florida go 4 sum rick ross flo rida tampa tony anyone who like plies just started liking him and will soon see he has the same flow on every song...he needa git more origional biting tricks shit w/ that whole real testament thing dont buy it by the way if u wanna see how wack he is for your self just dl these free mixtapes..this 1 ..36 ounces calm b4 the storm and what ever else they got on here...dont git me wrong take advantage of these free cds but rappers like plies is y hip hop is dead and as far as t pain goes he needs to stick with nappy heds(his group) and stop recording every f*ckin song with that wack ass tc helicon (the stupid voice synthisizer he uses).

Plies has a lot of new material out, and that's why I was waiting for a tape of just him. I agree there are a hand full of better artists in Florida ALONE but that is definitely not gonna stop me from supporting my home state. Trick paved the way for Florida, I think Plies is doin' what any "real n*gga" would do, pay his respects to the PIONEERS.....ANYWAYS, the gunshine state is just now starting to shine in the rap game. I.E. T-Pain stands for Tallahasse Pain(MY home town). He calls himself that cuz he went through soo much JUST to get into the industry. He was a rapper first, he had to sing his way to where he is at now. SOOOO, you probably WILL hear him without the synthesizer.

You answered your first question yourself. Nas is the realest one still doin' hip-hop, and I've bought ever single one of his albums. So as far as I'M concerned, hip-hop is still alive. I don't know sh*t about you, or who you support in the game, all I know is I LOVE REAL HIP HOP. I ain't sayin' Plies is in my top 5, but I think he got potential though. If they got a real message, and mean what the f*ck they say, I'm gonna listen! In fact, I think I'm gonna hit up Best Buy this weekend...I guess I'll see you there? Im not "hating" im calling it like it is hip hop was built on lyricist and simply plies doesent come close with his hop on pop rhymes(they lovin the dialouge, i am too, i like that people cant agree on 1 thing and not something as simple as the other)but he has had his turn.

In addition to that, you contradict yourself. You want everything from an artist, you want them to be in the booth all the time, you want them to be in the streets all the time, you want them to make a million dollars and keep it in the hood, you want EVERYBODY to love them all the time, never say anything bad about them, and you want to believe EVERYTHING they say!!! Either choose better artists to support, or start showing SOME loyalty to SOMEBODY!!! It's OK to be a fan, just be a REAL fan. And choose one, don't be a hater AND a d*ckrider.........and THAT'S the BIGGEST reason why 50, and many others aren't selling like they used to. Like Swizz said in Part Of The Plan, "What you want me to do?"
