see ive switched over to djing 100% house/electro now(and i aint the first brother to) and when i break in any hip hop its generally old school or the anthems cos man i swear im getting old but hip hop just seems dead to me now all these rappers doing the same thing, all these e-thugs swearing under their favourite tape and a bunch of people trying to be black. Aint nobody really breaking it down the way they used to. Only motherfuckers still standing that i can even stand to rotate over and over is kanye, a-trak, common, talib and the roots. dr. dre's solo effort and eminem both killed hip hop way before 50. anyway its called co-optation people. find it in a dictionary and look at what you've done.
