Cam'ron Explains Beef With Jay-Z

Rapper Cam'ron has further clarified his position against Island Def Jam president/rapper Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, after the Harlem native recently released the dis track called "Gotta Love It."

Cam'ron alleged that Jay-Z's declaration of peace with Nas in October 2005, was initially meant to destroy the credibility of his own Diplomats crew.

Cam'ron told Miss Jones and the Hot 97 morning show team the culmination of his grievance in the weeks leading up to Jay-Z's "I Declare War" concert, which was hosted by rival station Power 105.

"The last straw was that station down the dial [Power 105 and] he supposed to ["declare war"], where he is supposed to be dissing everybody he had a problem with," he explained to Miss Jones, DJ Envy and others. "So you know leading up to the concert, I got Dame calling me like, 'He's trying to get old footage of you of when you and Jim got jumped and he's trying to find Jim's Catholic school pictures.' So leading up to this concert, we had to get on point, you dig? I don't know whatever he was looking for, you ain't gonna find it."

Source Founders Dave Mays & Ray "Benzino" TERMINATED From The Source

A New Jersey Superior Court Judge lifted the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) granted to The Source founders David Mays and Ray "Benzino" Scott yesterday (Jan. 18), allowing board members of The Source Entertainment Inc. to oust the two from the company.

Mays and Scott filed for a temporary restraining order on Jan. 12, after four of the six board members agreed to terminate the pair from the magazine.

Board members said "Mays and Scott could not continue their series of financial recklessness and negligence" that was hurting The Source's investors, vendors, subscribers and readers and called for their immediate termination.

Yesterday, Judge Gerald Escala lifted the TRO against Ed. A. Williams, Earl Graves, Jr., Ivan Hopkins and Jeffery Scott.

An attorney representing the board members said Mays had been officially "terminated" from the company.

According to reports, the two are plotting a legal strategy in New Jersey in an attempt to stop the board from seizing the company.

Cam'Ron "Gotta Love It" & "Swagger Jacker" (2 NEW Jay-Z Disses)

(SCROLL DOWN TO DOWNLOAD DISS TRACKS)

After years of tension and subliminal jabs, Cam'ron has just leaked two tracks directly dissing Jay-Z.

The Dipset capo opens "You Got It" by giving five reasons for his dis, including charges that Jay stole Roc-A-Fella, Rocawear and Kanye West from Damon Dash, and that the King of New York lied about being an 80's baby, cause he was born in 1968 making him 37 years old.

Cam also spits in reference to the numerous lines Hov has borrowed from The Notorious B.I.G. "You ain't the only one with big wallets/ but your publishing should go to Miss Wallace."

Later on the cut, Cam pokes fun at Hov's age, remarking, "I know you're 40 years old, I don't respect my elders/I respect the hustler plus the grinders and the sellers."

Ironically, Cam takes a page from his nemesis Nas' book when he offers, "tote handles at your open toe sandals/and you look like Joe Camel." Killa also warned that he had Beyonce "singing about slinging crack" and later concluded by calling Jay ugly and saying he looks like "Fraggle Rock."

MTV's Mixtape Monday Jan. 16th '06

DJ and MC: Clinton Sparks and Kanye West

Mixtape:
Touch the Sky

411:
We told you about this record a few weeks back, and it actually plays like a real compilation. The disc features mostly new beats produced by Clinton Sparks, with cats including Biggie, Diddy, Lil' Kim, Busta Rhymes, N.O.R.E. and host Kanye West rapping. Sparks has a real LP coming soon — as soon as he leaves some record executive's pockets looking like rabbit ears.

Joints To Check For

* "Blow Your Mind" by Kanye West. West has a few raps on the CD, and on this song, about 12 tracks in, Yeezee is testifying and ruminating. "I asked God to help me fly away/ And if not then please keep your eye on me/ These n---as is bringing out the worst of me."

* "Get Touched" by Lil' Kim. There's actually two new Kim verses on this record. The Queen Bee spit these rhymes before she went to the pen, and they almost made it onto her album The Naked Truth. Luckily for Sparks, they didn't, and he was able to secure her vocals for his mixtape. "Haters can kiss my bikini wax/ And if you seen the facts/ You know the Queen is back."
