Lyrics delivery and beat are all very strange and new. But lets compare that to B.I.G. This beat is more like a screenplay to Biggies intensely raw and candid feelings of his inner deamons. But Weezy was up there mostly depending on slick production with a errily catchy hook to make those ramblings about his battles with inner deamons seem poeticly insightful. I can walk into a local rehab and hear a 22 year old girl read be a better sounding poem on that topic and she would probably even have a more impressive mindfucked delivery than Weezy. But we have to realize there may be some truth to his song about his drug problems (unlike to thruth to his teardrop tats) This track was just supposed to convey the strengths os sadness in someone with that predicament. Now lets talks about B.I.G.'s song "Suicidal Thoughts". I bet most of ya'll were like me when his cd came to the end and we hear Puff talking to someone in one of those ways taht get you really listening close for this first verse you're about to hear. And then Biggie put it all on the table in the first verse while begging for hell over heavan. And this wasn't just some Gravediggaz "1800 Suicide" shit. This was song song that didn't have a need for any chorus. Merely raw self loathing, making final goodbyes and complaints. Next he looped back around to his first verse's steadfast desire to end up in hell and this crazy mutherfucker shoots himself. Now pretend those songs were two movies you just watched and you tell me which one was directed by some kid who thinks the magic formula is drugs, intro (see chorus), and making sure hes in the movie. And which one is directed by a deep thinking mind who knows exactly where to put each word in each line. The director lets us see the final glimpses of a distraught man holding no hope but it was put together so that no one can train there attention elsewhare until they fianlly hear the surprising yet somehow oddly foreseeable final scene. So if you use that tool between your two ears you might be able to realize the difference in the best rapper this month and the best rapper of the last 3 Quarters of your life. And as for thinking Weezey's better than Pac, you need to go drown yourself in a shallow pool. Serisously you gonna compare Lil Wayne's" I'm the shit and you just a poo stain."
